Remap 2
For the second Remap festival, the multi-faceted identity of this vibrant neighbourhood was our inspiration. Striking images of the various venues were overlaid with artist’s photographs cut out into a shape that mirrors a map of the area.
These visually arresting images were contrasted with clean, spare graphics for the practical information.

Almo Office
We designed a presenter pack consisting of a set of 'inserts' outlining Almo’s services, products, partners, environmental policy, and ethos.
We commissioned Swiss Illustrator Angelina Zehnder to draw the front covers for each insert, which embody the company’s hands-on attitude and sense of humour.

The Little REDD Book +
An updated version of the first Little REDD Book, reprinted in several languages due to popular demand. The Little REDD Book is a guide to aid understanding of the emerging UN mechanism for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD), which could be a critical factor in halting deforestation in developing countries.
For easy comprehension and quick comparison of the different proposals under negotiation, the Little REDD Book introduces a visual language using icons to represent the characteristics, effectiveness, and equity of each proposal.

VillageUnderground
A simple invitation for a private event.

If I Could...
We were invited by HudsonBec to design two spreads for their sell-out, limited edition diary of wishful thinking. “If you could do anything tomorrow, what would it be?” We would immerse ourselves in music, with songs inspired by each day of the week. And if we could, we would make every day as long as the summer solstice.

XXL
We designed the poster and brochure for XXL, an international art exhibition at the Museo Oscar Niemeyer in Curitiba, Brazil, where all the work was displayed in outsized format.
We carried this concept through to the supporting graphics by playing with notion of scale. At first glance, the brochure looks like a small leaflet, but opens up into a giant, fold-out poster.

Abbey Road Studios
Our brief was to design four showcasing brochures, one for each of their departments; Recording & Mixing, Mastering, Interactive, and Asset Management & Supply. Abbey Road
wanted to raise the profile of their offering, highlighting the world class engineers, equipment and attempt to convey the overall Abbey Road experience.
The approach we took was to use thought provoking imagery, complemented by simple typography and enough white space for the imagery to breathe. We commissioned and art directed the photographer Cathy Cunliffe to capture the studio complex. The brochures were printed on an un-coated stock to give a raw and textured feel, bound with subtle black staples.

Divercity Architects
Showcasing the recent work of an award-winning architectural practice. We used 3 different coloured lines which are used to define the progress of each project: completed, unbuilt, or under construction.

Dorp
South African band Dorp asked us to design the artwork for their forthcoming debut album, Humans Being. Since the album explores different aspects of human relationships and behaviour, our concept was to create a unique portrait of humanity by splicing together images of a random selection of people that we photographed in our studio.
This collage of different identities morphed into a coherent whole. The back cover uses the same technique to show the rear view.

Freman College
This light-hearted project was commissioned by the final-year students at Freman College in Hertfordshire. Our concept was to give a contemporary twist to the old-school exercise book. Students’ handwritten responses to a personal questionnaire were scanned to create the illusion of a scrap-book.
The retro aesthetic plays on teenage style, including stickers, doodles, and ‘before and after’ photos of students on enrolment and graduation. Exhibited at the YCN at RCA show.

Hitsville UK
Russell Bestley, senior lecturer at the London College of Communication, commissioned the catalogue and poster for an exhibition exploring the history of punk in the British provinces. We produced an alternative map of the UK, a collage from Bestley’s collection of 10.000 punk record covers.
Inspired by punk’s hard-edged aesthetic, shrill palette, and improvisational approach, we also created a DIY poster using stencilled lettering and spray paint.

Inside Out
Recycled from discarded bills, forgotten letters, and scraps of other people’s lives, these limited edition, hand-bound notebooks are made from inverted envelopes.
The notebooks are on sale in selected bookstores in Athens, London and New York, depending on availability. Awarded 'Best Miscellaneous Project' at the 2007 Greek Graphic Design and Illustration Awards. Exhibited at the YCN at RCA show and Design Walk, Athens.

My Favourite Game
We were one of eight international design studios invited to participate in
'My Favourite Game', an exhibition organised by Ten Images for Ithaca.

ReMap KM
This multimedia art festival running parallel to the first Athens Biennial was designed to promote the redevelopment of Kerameikos and Metaxourgeio, a seedy quarter in downtown Athens. Using a map of the area as our starting point, we created a Z-card brochure using colour coding to aid navigation through multiple venues.
This physical and metaphorical exploration of artistic experimentation in an urban landscape was further developed through posters, leaflets and a website.

Sheila's
A bespoke labeling system for a cottage industry that makes seasonal jams, marmalades and chutneys.
We created a label for each ingredient (defined by the ingredient colour) and months of the year, to reflect the fact that recipes and ingredients change with the seasons.
